Edward C. Hopson, BS, CBA Bio:

Founder of Hopson Communications & Coaching, Small Business Consultant, Radio Program/Podcast Host, Freelance Author, and Certified Business Advisor & Financier  

 

Edward Hopson is the owner of Hopson Communications & Coaching, LLC, a business coaching, consulting, and public speaking firm. Hopson offers training focused on developing entrepreneurs, business owners, and professionals. He has over 25 years of experience in small business development, business lending, finance, and economic development.  An entrepreneur since his teenage years, Hopson has followed in the footsteps of his mother and first established a full-time business with employees in his early 20s.  Hopson spent some years as an Assistant Vice President Business Banker at National City Bank and Bank One/Chase.  He also was a real estate investor and landlord at the ripe old age of 28 and has been involved in residential and commercial real estate investing financing, and leasing.  Hopson is extremely passionate, experienced, and knowledgeable and committed to economic development, minority business development, and starting and expanding small businesses.

 

Hopson is an award-winning speaker and published author of business-oriented topics. He has been featured in Small Business News, Youngstown Vindicator, and The Akron Beacon Journal,  on radio and television, and at local and national business conferences and trade association meetings.

 

Hopson attended The University of Akron & Indiana Wesleyan University and holds associate’s and bachelor’s degrees in Business Admin. and Management.  He is a Certified Business Analyst by the Ohio Dept. of Development/SBDC program, a licensed Real Estate Agent, and is currently completing his MS Degree in Management/HR Specialization.
