Health Insurance Expert Brenda Basso

Congratulations to Brenda Basso who recently earned the Chartered Healthcare Consultant (ChHC) professional designation from The American College of Financial Services.

This comprehensive program required four courses and eight hours of exams – a major project Brenda has been working on longer than she cares to mention.

But it’s worth it. This certification builds her credibility in a competitive profession where she has worked for 20 years.

“I provide expert advice on a broad range of health insurance-related topics including medical and ancillary employee benefits, legislative requirements, wellness programs and more,” said Brenda. Previously, she achieved certification in health care reform studies, also through The American College.

A 2016 recipient of the Achievements in Excellence award, Brenda is an employee benefits consultant at AUI and specializes in employer-sponsored benefit plans. Active in NSME for several years, Brenda now serves as the NSME vice president for our Accent on Excellence Event in February.

Brenda takes pride in coming up with creative solutions for her clients. “I’ve been able to help them save money, close gaps in their benefits and sometimes even improve benefits for less money. As a top agency with many of the insurance carriers and TPAs, we also have access to some products which other agencies do not have,” she explained.
