NSME Akron Canton Luncheon - July

A Conversation With Tia Ramlow, President, GREAT WORK!

We will be having a conversation with Tia covering a broad range of topics. Later the audience will be asked to join in.
How did Tia find herself in her current position, what prepared her and what has she learned?
What does she perceive to be her greatest assets and weaknesses; how does she compensate?
What is her leadership style?
What role does culture play in GREAT WORK!; how does she maintain it over their many offices?
These and many other topics will be discussed in a free-flowing dialog.
Tia Ramblow Bio:
Tia Ramlow entered the staffing world quite by accident. While growing up in MI and completing her BA at Miami University she always thought she would go into International Business. When she graduated college, she entered into Sales with a Fortune 500 company in Michigan. Two years later she moved from Michigan to Akron OH to help her parents launch a branch for their startup staffing company, Great Work Employment Services. Within three years, her parents retired and named Tia President. Twenty-eight years later, under Tia's leadership, the company has grown to seven offices, and a team of 27 employees and she is thrilled to keep hitting new growth goals. As President, Tia focuses on ensuring the company values and customer experiences are consistently delivered and that her team has opportunities to reach their personal and professional goals.
Great Work! specializes in recruiting employees for manufacturing, warehouse, and offices in Northeast Ohio. They have 125+ local clients and employ over 550 weekly field employees.
Tia is committed to giving back to the community. She supports many area non-profits and business groups both financially and through her personal involvement. She is currently active with:
Greater Akron Chamber current Chair, Past Finance, and SBC Chair
Ohio Chamber of Commerce – current Chair of the Small Business Council.
Summit Education Initiative – current Board Member
Advisory board for EDGE and Huntington National Bank (Regional)
And is especially proud of her past volunteer activities with the Battered Women's Shelter as a volunteer/ Board Member and the Summit County Juvenile Court as a CASA.
Tia is a graduate of both the Leadership Akron's Class of 25 and the 3rd Cohort of Scalerator in 2019
Tia is passionate about her business, the community, yoga, and her family of three daughters/her husband, Chad. Not necessarily in that order😊
