NSME Akron/Canton Workshop - October

"Diversity and how it impacts Innovation and Agility" by Chad Luxenburg - CEO and Co-Founder of Scitrain. LTD.

Why are we talking about diversity, and how does it link to making a better society and extreme business results?

Why does it matter for us for our company today and into the future?

What do we want to achieve through leveraging diversity in the business world?

Business goals:
What are our goals? What does the business want to achieve?

The most common mission statements moving into our next decade and beyond have to do with creating a diverse environment and leveraging innovation and agility. The basis of most mission statements is assuming innovation. We need to be innovative to create true value for our customers.

We are living in a rapidly changing world. The progress in technologies is accelerating. In order to keep creating true customer value, we need to be agile and adapt to these changes. We need to excel in digitalization and transform our portfolio. Without being agile, we would not be able to survive as a business!

Summary: there are two business goals that are absolutely essential for us in this discussion: innovation and agility.

There is one key factor that helps us reach these business goals (innovation and agility): It’s diversity. Diversity helps us to both boost innovation and foster agility.

But what are the mechanisms? How does diversity influence innovation and agility?

During this session: we will first have a look at what diversity actually is!
